“At Kaibosh Food Rescue our vision is Zero Food Poverty, Zero Food Waste.”

“We believe that good kai shouldn’t be wasted, especially when one in five Kiwi kids go hungry.”

Globally, a third of all food produced is wasted from farm to fork. In New Zealand, billions of dollars worth of edible food ends up in landfills every year.

“We’re changing that! Since 2008, we’ve been working with local food businesses to rescue their quality surplus food.”

“With the help of dedicated volunteers, we re-distribute this good kai to hundreds of community groups who are supporting people in the Greater Wellington Region.”

Kaibosh’s mahi turns an environmental problem into a social solution.

“It’s good for people, it’s good for the planet and it’s good for business.”

Kaibosh operates three food rescue hubs in Pōneke, Petone and Paraparaumu to service the Wellington, Hutt Valley, Kāpiti and Horowhenua regions.

“We couldn’t do our mahi without the amazing support of our food rescue heroes – businesses, individuals and volunteers who share our vision for zero food poverty, zero food waste.”

“Help your environment and your community by donating funds, food or time today.”
