‘Tis the season for giving – and Wellington independent brewery, Garage Project, is giving back by donating kegs for the 11th annual Kegs for Christmas Charity Fundraiser this Saturday 16 December. Every sale of special Garage Project brews sold on the day goes to support Kaibosh Food Rescue.
This year six iconic Wellington hospitality venues are participating:
“Kegs for Christmas is a highlight on our calendar at Garage Project every year” says Pete Gillespie, Head Brewer and Co-founder of Garage Project.
“It’s way for us to collaborate with some of our favourite venues, and together, help our local communities.”
“Since 2013, Kegs for Christmas has raised $94,000 for Kaibosh – which is just amazing. Thank you to Pete and the team at Garage Project” says Susie Robertson, CE at Kaibosh. Watch the video to hear more from Pete and Susie.
“We know that this year, more whānau are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis. We also know that 1 in 5 Kiwi kids go hungry in Aotearoa. This is why we’re on a mission at Kaibosh to rescue good kai and reduce hunger.
“The fact that the sales of every drop of beer from Kegs for Christmas comes to us, can really make a difference.
A big thank you to all Wellingtonians who support Kegs for Christmas every year!”
Garage Project and Kaibosh are asking Wellingtonians to head along to these awesome venues on Saturday 16 December 2023, to buy a beer and share some cheer.
